Biography

Günther Förg ( Füssen, 5 December 1952 – Colombier, 5 December 2013 ) is an artist specialized in painting, graphic design, sculpture and photography, preferring the non-figurative and geometric subjects.

From 1973 to 1979 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Monaco with Karl Fred Dahmen. His first solo exhibition held at Galerie Rüdiger Schöttle of Monaco in 1980.
From 1992 to 1999 taught at the Staatliche Hochschule für Gestaltung in Karlsruhe and in 1996 he was awarded the Wolfgang Hahn Preis in 1999 and taught in Monaco.
His works are included in the most prestigious art collections, such as London Tate’s.
